#7 Filed Trip to Prague and Dresden

After 10 days in Olomouc, I feel more comfortable and confident being around in Czech Republic. On March 26,We started our first filed trip.I really had a lot of fun in our first filed trip.Everything was already planned by Palacky University, which makes the trip more enjoyable for me. 23 of us all meet at the tram line around 9:15 am. Then we can either take tram #7 or #2 to end of the line. The professors were already there waiting for us. We need took the train form Olomouc to Praha (Prague), which take about 2 hours.Actually, it isn't a really big train station, but we could get good cafe, fruits, and donuts for breakfast,we could also get breakfast on the train, so you don't have to worried about weak up too early to have breakfast. The train is so comfortable, I even can get WIFI there. When we got to Praha,we actually walked to our hostel. The hostel is located in new town which is very close to everything you need. We went to the Old Town, Charles Bridge, and The Lennon Wall. I feel Praha is the paradise of artist. There many talented artists played different kind of instruments, and drew the pictures. personally, I prefer go to Chareles Bridge during the night. The view looks much more than different with the light. I got all free afternoon by myself. It was fun to walk around, explore every different shop. I also made some new friends when I was eating supper.
I cannot find the way back to the hostel, after I had supper with my new friends. I feel the hostel is not far away from me, but I just cannot find it. I want to ask for help, but I even don't remembered the name of hostel.I called my friend, but I don't know where I am at. So, we deiced to meet at the Clock.

Tips: Before you leave the Hostel, you can use Google Map to locate the hostel, or take a picture of hostel's information.

Around 7 ish. We all showed up at Clock. Dr. Martin took us to the IRSH BAR. I had a red beer, which is really good.

The other day, we visited the katedrala svateho Vita. Then we wanted to do more exploring. That was almost lunch time, and we wanted to find some thing to eat, then go to the tower. The best thing is we got lost!!! Because I think I get to see a pretty view, the green park with red roof. That's so pretty. Actually, you are not get lost, since you can see the tower, you know where is it, but we were just not sure how to get there. I feel is the good thing we got lost, because we get such a good view and good pizza.Actually, we were really enjoined being lost. You know you always can find the way back to the hostel.

The third day, we went to Dresden, of course by train. There were 5 of us sitting together, we were starving..... Then, we decided to explore to try to find something to eat. fortunately,we found a restaurant in there, the food was good and not expensive.

In Dresden,we visited Frauenkirche Lutheran Church. The Church was almost destroyed during the WWII.It took about 17 years to rebuild it.
After that we visited Historical Museum of Saxony.I was amazed by the artists exquisite manual technology, imagination and creativity after seeing these exhibits. The last of field trip we visited Jewish Quarters of Old Town Prague. That was miserable history for Jewish people during the WWII. I read the book about this period of history before, I was so depressed when I actually see all these names on the wall...

We back to home safely. That was awesome trip. I can't wait for next filed trip.

5--- culture

I have been in the Czech Republic already for 10 days, I really am having a good time here so far. There is so much fun and excitement in this country. The people I meet are so friendly to me.I remembered the first day when I arrived in Prague, I couldn't find the way to the Hostel, which I booked before I left China, I forgot to book the pick up service, Laughing out loud....There is not too many people who can speak English, which is the same in China.

The pivos are really good, even though I am not a big pivo drinker, I still really enjoy them.
I never thought there will be so many clubs around. Before I came here, I only knew Czech had so many red roof buildings and pretty churches. However, there are many Czech that consider themselves atheist.Or non religious. But, they still kind of like Christianity. This is very interesting to me. About the religious part, which is similar in China. Many Chinese say they are Atheist, but most are Buddhism belief.

This is my first week in Palacky university in Olomouc.
I am experiencing so many new experience in my life that I have never had before. One of my new experiences was staying in a hostel by myself. I was nerves at first but after a while I became familiar and comfortable with staying there. I had met a lady that took me out to see the city of Prague. The buildings compared to china are much different. Here they are so beautiful and have statues in the front of them. I went by the Charles bridge and saw so many swans swimming around in the river. It was one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen. Because I know that seeing swans in the river could never happen in China. People in china can not get that close to the river because there are fences.

I also have a funny experience about the found. I tried Czech dumpling,it's just like slice of bread.  it's so much different with chinese dumpling. Below I am going to put a picture of what I saw.

Aha, I still haven't figure out how this blogger works. anyway, I am learning, it should be same as Facebook.I am waiting in Vienna airport right now. There is 7 hrs earlier than China, and  I have to wait here for 5 hrs, lol... I am trying to found some thing to kill time. I was walking around, I don't know somehow, I feel my shoes is getting smaller, or my feet was grow up, my shoes is not really fit me, my feet is get really hurt, I hardly stand it. Then, I thought I could change my slippers, but I saw everyone in here all dress nice, that will be a strange view in Vienna airport, if I really put my slippers on.So, I deiced found my gate and sit there, play my phone. Then, I realized than my phone only have 30% buttery left. I have my computer and my phone all electricity with me, but  my plug adapter. You know, how is my felling right now. I want to kill myself.. I know I will need plug adapter, and bought it before I left China. However, I didn't put it in my bag at last time.  Good thing is , I charged my laptop before I left home. I don't know how long it will stay, but I have something to do for now. There is something I really learned from my trip for now, dress comfortable and double check the bag. OH, there is one thing I want to know, Do you any people do any kinda of celebration when the plane landing?
